14 March 2013

Just as a small contribution to the blog, I wanted to mention two things:

The first thing is that for about a week (07-03-2013) is being projected in "L'Hemisféric" in the "City of Arts and Sciences" a film about the "Fallas" ("3d Flames" is the original title) as a documentary, for tourists who come to Valencia Fallas week off to see first hand all about this Valencian tradition.

Originally it's projected in V.O. (Spanish + Valencian) and fully in spanish, but it's being translated to english, french and italian, so I think that it will be projected with those many languages in the future.

The second one is that there is a new business in Valencia "ValenBici" that has been working here from january of 2012 to now, and it's growing. This business is dedicated to the rental of bicycles throughout the city. Accessing Your web (www.valenbisi.es), you can register (I think is worth about 25 euros per year) and with this you can use any of the business cycle, the long as you wish, to a bike docking station every 30 minutes (if you go through a bike docking station, hooked the bike, unhooked, and you keep using it, not charge you anything extra, if you do not do this, you can be charged up to 1 euro per 15 minutes extra)

Good luck if you decide to come to Valencia! ;-)

Gulliver Park

Gulliver Park is a park for children's play is inspired by the novel by Jonathan Swift, Gulliver's Travel, published in 1726. Although it is often considered a children's play really is a ferocious satire of society and the human condition, camouflaged as a travel book picturesque country.

Gulliver's Travel Picture

In this novel, Captain Gulliver is taken on his first trip to the shore by the waves after a shipwreck, and wakes up being prisoner of a race of people of a size twelve times smaller than a human being, less than 15 cm height. So in this park our children will be the 'Lilliputian' who captured Captain Gulliver, and will play in his clothes (which are slides, stairs and walkways)

You can read more about Gulliver's Travel in the Spanish Wikipedia Translated.
